Rachel Carson, one of the founding leaders in the environmental movement has endured great ordeal of events up to the publication of her revered book, "Silent Spring". Rachel Carson was kn own as a very diligent investigator, meeting with a network of scientists, physicians, conservationist, and so on. Within her research, she was particularly interested in the connections of cancer and human exposure to pesticides. Throughout her research, Rachel Carson struggled with the several health problems including pneumonia as well as breast cancer. Despite her ailments, she continued progress with her novel to a publication on September of 1962. The publication of the novel struck many heartstrings she displayed her argument for reconsidering rapid expansion as well as DDT being used in excess in spite of its on humans.
